What cookies are

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser to remember information, keep your session active, and understand how the site is used.

Who is responsible

The responsible entity is 3-102-961689 SOCIEDAD DE RESPONSABILIDAD LIMITADA (legal entity ID 3-102-961689), domiciled in San José, Santa Ana, Uruca, Costa Rica. VegasiO is the trade name under which we operate the website and application.

Necessary technologies

  • Session and security: cookies from our authentication provider that keep you signed in and expire with the session or according to its configuration.
  • Discovery: temporary storage of your draft, conversation, and result in your browser until you close the tab, together with a short-lived cookie that lets you resume the session from the same browser. Marketing attribution is stored separately and only with consent.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: processes technical signals and may use strictly necessary storage to detect automation and protect forms; it does not depend on analytics or marketing consent.
  • Theme preference: cookie and local storage for up to 12 months or until deleted.
  • Announcement dismissal: local storage until the announcement version changes or the visitor deletes it.

Consent and preferences

Our consent cookie stores for 180 days whether you authorized analytics or marketing. Before that choice, both categories remain denied and we do not download Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, or Meta Pixel. Necessary technologies remain active because the website cannot operate securely without them.

Optional analytics

With your permission, Google Analytics 4 may use _ga and _ga_<ID> to distinguish browsers and measure public pages and essential conversions. We configure these cookies for no more than 12 months and GA4 event retention for 14 months. We do not enable Google Signals or User-ID or send form contents, account data, or Discovery scores.

Optional marketing

With your permission, Meta Pixel may use _fbp and _fbc for approximately 90 days to measure campaigns and essential conversions. Initial UTM attribution, referrer, and landing page are retained in local storage for up to 90 days. We do not use Advanced Matching, Automatic Events, or the Conversion API.

Google Calendar and external services

Google Calendar does not load automatically. When you click “Load Google Calendar” or open the external link, your browser connects directly to Google and is subject to its policies. Necessary resources from Turnstile and our other operational providers may load to provide the requested function.

How to withdraw or change consent

Use Cookie preferences in the footer to accept, reject, or change categories. When a category is withdrawn, we stop new tags and make a reasonable effort to delete _ga*, _fbp, _fbc, and stored attribution. You can also delete cookies and storage in your browser. Blocking necessary technologies may prevent sign-in, Discovery, or form submission.
